Armaroli Sim Racing World Cup

Contents

The Armaroli Sim Racing World Cup was one of the championships run using rFactor. Using a fictional formula racer designed around Armaroli's own Sim Racing products, the championship used to offer a cash prize to the winning nation, and was contested by 38 nations.

The first race in the 2006 Armaroli Sim Racing was held May 20, 2006 using the Zandvoort, Netherlands circuit as prepared for rFactor. This inaugural race was won by team Switzerland with Patrick Heri at the wheel of the car.

The 2006 Championship concluded on November 25, 2006 on the Interlagos Circuit. The race was won by David Greco driving for team Italy, and as a result of the win, team Italy clinched first place in the championship. Second place in the race and the championship went to South Africa, largely driven by Zaahir Essa, and third in the championship went to team Switzerland.

Each race in the championship was broadcast live through the Armaroli Website with live commentary, in Portuguese and English, changing camera angles, and more to simulate a real race broadcast.

The 2007 season of the ASRWC was not run and as of August 2008 there were no news about a 2008 season; regarding a 2009 there are no news on the championship site. All races are listed as "TBA" (to be announced) since the end of the first season (November 25, 2006).
